About Delrak
A practice-oriented platform where financial planning stops being theoretical. We build workshops around the decisions people actually get wrong — and give them a safe place to get it right first.
Where the idea started
"Most business failures trace back to cash flow misread in the first year — not bad products."
Delrak began in 2016 when a group of practitioners noticed the same pattern: smart people launching businesses without a working understanding of their own numbers. Not for lack of intelligence — for lack of practice.
Top mistakes of business beginners and how to avoid them became the organizing question behind every workshop we design. We focus on the decisions that actually cost money: misreading margins, skipping scenario planning, treating revenue as profit.
The people
Four practitioners with backgrounds in corporate finance, startup operations, and adult education. No academics who haven't run a budget under pressure. Everyone on the team has made at least one of the mistakes the curriculum covers.
Tomasz Wierzbicki
Lead Instructor
12 years in corporate finance before moving into education. Runs the cash flow and forecasting modules.
Orsolya Fekete
Curriculum Design
Builds the step-by-step assignments. Previously designed training programs for SME accelerators in Central Europe.
Rasmus Lindqvist
Workshop Facilitator
Handles live sessions and group exercises. Has a background in operations and ran two small businesses before joining.
Inês Carvalho
Student Experience
Manages participant support and tracks where people get stuck. Feeds that data directly back into course revisions.
What the workshops actually address
- 1 Confusing gross margin with profit — a mistake that looks fine on paper until the tax bill arrives.
- 2 Planning with a single revenue scenario instead of a realistic range of three.
- 3 Skipping a 13-week cash flow model in favour of a monthly spreadsheet that misses timing gaps.
- 4 Setting prices based on what competitors charge rather than what the numbers require.
