Business Financial Planning: What Most Beginners Get Wrong

Most new business owners spend their first year reacting to money rather than planning it. They check the bank balance instead of reading a cash flow statement, and they confuse revenue with profit until something goes wrong. This masterclass is built around that gap.

What this course actually covers

We start with the documents that matter: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow forecast. Not as abstract concepts but as tools you will build yourself during the sessions. You will leave with a working financial model for your own business, not a generic template.

A significant portion of the program addresses the top mistakes of business beginners and how to avoid them. Underpricing, mixing personal and business finances, ignoring tax obligations until Q4 — these are not rare edge cases. They are the standard experience. We treat them as such.

Who runs this

The instructor, Dorota Kwiecinska, spent eight years as a financial controller for mid-size companies before moving into business education. She has reviewed hundreds of early-stage business plans and has a clear-eyed view of where things typically break down.

Format and expectations

Six live sessions, each two hours. Recordings available for 90 days. Participants are expected to bring their own numbers — even rough estimates. The work is more useful when it is real.

This course does not guarantee specific financial outcomes. Results depend on individual circumstances and consistent application of the material.
